I learned about the benefits of bentonite clay earlier this year. It sounds like a superfood if you ask me.  Watch the video to learn the benefits of ingesting bentonite clay.

(video by Dr. Axe)

Once I learned of all the benefits, I immediately went on the hunt for the best resource to purchase bentonite clay. I found Living Clay.  I purchased the 1 gallon size of the detox clay and take a teaspoon a day to maintain good heatlh.

Primary Functions of Living Clay®

    • Detoxify

– Whether used internally or externally, its strong negatively charged ions pull, hold, and capture positively charged toxins.*

    • Cleanse

– Internally it cleanses the colon of old fecal matter and mucoid plaque.*

    • Balance

– Clay is homeostatic, constantly striving to bring the body into balance.

    • Alkalize

– It has an alkaline 9.7 pH.

    • Stimulate

– It draws blood flow, oxygen and circulation for cellular repair.*

    • Energize

– It has an electromagnetic energy that resonates with the life force energy of the body.

Never underestimate what clay can do, directly or indirectly, to support good health.*

Every cell in our body excretes waste material, which can become toxic and poisonous to our bodies if allowed to build up faster than it can be eliminated or filtered out of the body. Therefore, it is imperative to naturally detox to rid yourself of the deleterious effects of impurities and toxins.

Calcium Bentonite Clay therapy is the ideal detoxification treatment because it is both safe and effective.  Take control of your body by safely detoxing to help regain and achieve your pinnacle of health!*

Why is it important to Alkalize your body?

When your body is in an alkaline state, you are less likely to suffer from chronic diseases. The foods and beverages you consume each day have a direct impact on the acid and alkaline balance in your body. This balance is measured by determining your pH value, which tells you if your body’s fluids and tissues are more acidic or alkaline. On a pH scale of negative 4.5, which is very acidic, to positive 9.5, which is highly alkaline, your body is considered healthy and alkaline if you have a pH level of 7.0 or above.

If you have a slight pH fluctuation, and your body becomes more acidic than it should be, your body immediately begins to exhibit symptoms of an imbalance. These symptoms may be considered little things, like a runny nose, fatigue, a skin breakout, or a slight case of irritable bowel syndrome. However, these minor health issues are actually the first sign that your body might be too acidic and needs to reach a more alkaline state. Although exposure to germs and contaminants, stress and other external life factors can cause all of these symptoms too, you are more likely to have clearer skin, better digestion, more energy, and a nose that runs less often when your body is alkaline.

  • Fewer Colds

An acidic environment promotes the growth of bad bacteria, yeast and fungi. The imbalance of your body’s good bacteria makes you more prone to getting infections. You will be less likely to suffer from the common cold when your body is alkaline.

  • Cell Mutation Prevention

A major benefit of having an alkaline body state is that you might reduce your risk for developing cell mutation. When your body is too acidic, oxygen levels are lowered and cellular metabolism stops. This can lead to the growth of mutated cells. Maintaining an alkaline state helps encourage healthy cell turnover, which is key in the prevention of cell mutation.

  • Healthy Weight

Fruits and vegetables make your body more alkaline, while processed foods, sugar, refined carbohydrates and alcohol make you more acidic. By eating alkalizing foods, you are more likely to maintain a healthy weight. The frequent consumption of acid-producing foods is more likely to contribute to a weight problem.

Here is a list of alkalizing foods:

  • Beets
  • Broccoli
  • Cauliflower
  • Celery
  • Cucumber
  • Kale
  • Lettuce
  • Onions
  • Peas
  • Peppers
  • Spinach
  • Apple
  • Banana
  • Berries
  • Cantaloupe
  • Grapes
  • Melon
  • Lemon
  • Orange
  • Peach
  • Pear
  • Watermelon

I love all the above listed veges and fruits but lets face it, we don’t always have them in the fridge or we leave the house and forget to pack them or we’re watching our carbohydrate intake and so on.  That’s what I love about Bentonite Clay. Before bed, take a teaspoon of clay and mix with a little water and drink up. I admit, it’s not the yummiest taste in the world…it is clay after all, but it’s a quick and easy way to not only alkalize your body but add minerals, detoxify and cleanse, too!
